As I have mentioned I have the fishing blues, and yesterday after school I was sitting around thinking what I could fish for. Then I decided, instead of fishing for catfish I will fish for dogfish.

First take your victims favorite toy, in this case Libby's dragon.

Wrap the fishing line around tightly (Libbys dragon has two squeakers side by side so I just did it in between squeakers)
Then attach the swivel to the line.

The result:
Pros: A "dog"fish that fights harder than a Smallmouth bass!
Cons: My poor doggy wouldn't touch the toy for a while! :)

I have the fishing blues... But in that aspect I will tell 2 funny fishing stories! So... one day I was in Mount Vernon competing in a Fishing Contest! After my first couple casts I landed a 19 3/4 inch trout! Well turns out in the last 5 minutes (The judges were literally weighing in the fish)  this little 2 year old (I was watching her from the judges tent) had one hand on her Dad's pole while her Dad reeled casted etcetera. He caught a 20 inch trout and I lost!
I won this pole in a raffle at the fish competition! Which was nice considering I walked away with a funny story and a pole!

My other funny story is (in my mind) the coolest thing that ever happened during fishing. Gabriel was fishing on the erie isle dock (Where we go to vacation) and caught bottom. So Dad walked over and tried to yank it out, and he did but when he reeled it was like there was a HUGE fish on the line! Gabriel had been catching "bad" (Not good eating) fish all day (Sheepheads) well after he reeled the line in there was a pole attached! He set it down to untangle it and the pole started moving! He had a fish on! He reeled it in and it was a....................................................................................................... SHEEPHEAD! He ended up catching no good fish but had the best story ever!
So today me and Gabriel made my Mother breakfast! He made ham and I made a egg on toast! It is usually hard to make it before she woke up but this time we took advantage of her sleeping in. So that was a surprise to her!

So I shot an opossum yesterday, which was a freaky story! I went inside my Dad's "chicken fortress" and bent over to let out the chickens, and all of the sudden this big furry gray animal jumped out and hissed at me. I was really scared and I ran out of the chicken cage and slammed the door. Upon finding out it was an opossum I ran inside, grabbed my brothers Nylon 66 22. (I couldn't use my shotgun because I didn't want to hurt the coop) and shot it. I felt really bad because it wasn't really "fair" for the possum because he couldn't get out of the coop cage. But it had to be done and since Dad was at work I had to... But the even harder part was picking the thing up by the tail and putting it in the woods.
